Project Book Masters Graduation Project 2010

The Project Book explains the concept and development of my Masters Graduation Project ‘Transforming Public Space Into Personal Place In Amsterdam Zuidas’. Zuidas is a new large urban project in Amsterdam. Plan Zuidas is meant to change the urban shape of Amsterdam, which is being remodeled at a metropolitan scale in a way that improves the quality of the region. It has the goals to improve the quality of the regional economy and to transform Zuidas into a densely populated mixed-used area - second city center. However these ambitions have not been realized so far. With the project I wanted to bring in something from the history of Amsterdam, as the new area lacks historicity, and to give identity to the identical buildings of Zuidas. (see masters projects).
